With the field of Medical Transcription intensely demanding,
it has become necessary to assist medical practitioners
in recording their medical prescriptions over phone. aveVoiceDictate
allows doctors to utilize their time to the maximum by
offering an interactive tool that allows them to record
their prescriptions over phone or PC with absolutely no
hassle. The recorded files are then saved in a compressed
format and sends to a remote FTP site for transcription.
The system comes with 2 editions, one for PC users and
the other for Telephone users. The PC Edition of aveVoiceDictate
comes with a very user-friendly interface for recording
the dictations over PC. With Telephone edition, doctors
can make dictations from remote places 24 hours a day,
seven days a week, from an ordinary telephone or cellular
phone.
The Telephone Edition of Atinav’s
aveVoiceDictate System allows users to dictate from anywhere,
any time using the ordinary telephone or a mobile phone.
By dialing into the system, the users can record their
dictation in real time. The authenticated user has complete
control over the dictation allowing fast-forward, rewind,
play back and edit functions. Before beginning a dictation,
the user is prompted for predefined information such as
Report Type and Report ID. The inputs in the form of DTMF
keys are recognized. Configurable DTMF key combinations
are used for controlling the system. Once the dictation
is over, the file is saved in TrueSpeech format into the
preset folder, either locally or to remote host using
FTP. This process is fully automated and can be managed
without having the need of any human intervention. The
Telephone Edition has a recording time of maximum 180
minutes. The administration tool accompanying the solution
provides an Interface for the administrator to configure
and manage the system. With this tool, the administrator
can manage the user accounts, configure voice prompts,
archive location, log file and DTMF keys, control system
services and monitor the system utilization. The administrator
has full control over the system providing details of
each single dictation made using the system.
The Multimedia Edition of Atinav’s aveVoiceDictate simplifies
the dictation process thereby allowing user to dictate
directly into his personal computer with the aid of a
microphone. The demographic information like Report Type
and Report ID are sought before starting a dictation.
This information along with the AccountID is included
in the header of the file for identification. The dictation
is delivered to the host system for transcribing using
the File Transfer Protocol. When the system is connected
to Internet, the file will be automatically sent to the
FTP Server. Thus the whole process of managing files is
automated eliminating the need of user intervention in
a secure manner. It provides an additional feature for
the administrator to manage user accounts. The user profile
provides the information for the FTP process to transfer
files successfully. The administrator can also specify
the appropriate format in which the files are to be stored.
The system also offers a detailed view of the log file.
With the very simple and standard user friendly GUI, various
sound recorder operations can be performed on the dictation.
