Atinav has made commendable forays into the arena of touch-tone or voice navigation with the implementations of its aveAccess technology. The Interactive Voice Response System (IVR) is a realization of the business solution developed with aveAccess.

IVR employs voice for both voice and data communication, thereby easing the effort required in other means of communication, for procuring specific information amongst the demanding and hectic schedule of the present day executive. The solution enables access to the Internet with mere voice commands and scrapes information from the profiled areas of the sites. Thus specifics are read out to the client, while the client can engage physically in other activities.

IVR results in hands-free web surfing while driving a car, as it parses the day's news and present summaries upon verbal request. The solution includes a VoiceXML interpreter analogous to the HTML interpreter, which is the web browser and replaces mouse and keyboard with voice or touch tone input. A highlight of the IVR solution is that rules can be set, to secure only the needed information, which is read out, so that the issue of over crowding does not arise.

There are various implementations of the aveAccess IVR technology. Some of them are

  • Web Reader

  • Mail Reader
  • Stock Quote Reader

  • IVR Banking
  • Airline Scheduling

Web Reader
Atinav makes it possible to browse the internet, absolutely without a browser -- which does not resemble Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator. The web surfing in this case is done with an ordinary telephone or cellular phone. By giving a command either by touch-tone or speech, a profiled (rules set earlier) website is fetched from its location and read to the user verbally. The contents from the site is taken out only on the basis of criteria set by the user

Mail Reader
As people are getting increasingly dependent on e- mail communication, they want to access it from everywhere, and the need for alternatives to desktop solutions is increasing. Atinav, with its IVRs solution for email offers access to e- mail from the telephone, using speech synthesis and dtmf keys. If offers a system which is faster and efficient than traditional PCs, which may require a tedious boot and login procedure before the user can even check whether he has received e- mail worth reading. Preferences of the mails to be accessed can be predefined by selecting the same in the Profiler. Thus the IVR solution enables the corporate managers of today, who are always on the move, to be in touch with the world by a plain voice prompt.

Stock Quote Reader
Audio Web provides a system, which enables callers to query stock information over their touch-tone telephone. It uses state-of-the-art speech recognition technology to capture the stock quote. The information from a popular stock site is retrieved and presented to the user. With Audio Web, the user can enjoy the freedom of information access 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
