Former CTO of Merrill Lynch Joins Atinav’s Advisory Board
Technology and financial services veteran brings expertise to
Internet communications and collaboration software company
New York, December 5, 2000 – , a provider of Internet communications and collaboration software, today announced the appointment of Howard Sorgen to its newly created Advisory Board.
Sorgen is the former senior vice president and chief technology officer of the U.S. Private Client Group for Merrill Lynch, and brings more than 40 years of experience in technology and financial services to Atinav’s board. Prior to his tenure at Merrill Lynch, Sorgen was executive vice president for Manufacturers Hanover Corporation, where he managed the company’s global operations and information technology. In addition, Sorgen was president and chief operating officer of a $100-million-dollar NYSE technology company.
Sorgen has chaired numerous committees and organizations within the financial services sector and is a frequent speaker at various information services forums. He has served on the advisory councils of several leading technology companies such as Microsoft Corporation and Sun Microsystems. In addition, Sorgen serves on the advisory board of Merrill Lynch’s broad-based opportunity investment fund.
